TXOGA Statement in Support of Texas Jobs and Security Act

AUSTIN – Todd Staples, President of the Texas Oil & Gas Association (TXOGA) today issued the following statement in support of HB 5, the Texas Jobs and Security Act filed by Chairman Todd Hunter:

“Thank you to Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan and Chairman Todd Hunter for moving the Lone Star State in the right direction with the Texas Jobs & Security Act. For Texas to remain a national economic leader, we must use tools that other states and countries are using to attract businesses to our state, and this legislation will give our local communities a powerful economic tool to attract jobs and investments.”

Earlier this month, TXOGA was a signatory to a letter sent to the Legislature. This statement was also issued in response to the filing of HB 5.
