Dionne Irving - March 13th at 7pm in the Morgan Library
Dionne Irving is originally from Toronto, Ontario. She is the author of Quint (7.13 Books) and The Islands (Catapult Books). Her work has appeared in Story, Boulevard, LitHub, Missouri Review, and New Delta Review, among other journals and magazines. The Islands was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award, The Scotiabank/Giller Prize, The New American Vices Award and The Clara Johnson Award. Irving teaches in the Creative Writing Program and the Initiative on Race and Resilience at the University of Notre Dame.
George David Clark - April 25th at 6pm in the Morgan Library
George David Clark is the author of Reveille (winner of the Miller Williams Prize) and Newly Not Eternal (LSU), and his most recent poems can be found or are forthcoming in AGNI, The Georgia Review, The Southern Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. David held the Olive B. O’Connor Fellowship at Colgate University and the Lilly Postdoctoral Fellowship at Valparaiso University, and he currently teaches creative writing at Washington & Jefferson College. The editor-in-chief of 32 Poems, he lives with his wife and their four children in McMurray, Pennsylvania.
