Centier Bank Breaks Ground on New Cedar Lake Branch

CEDAR LAKE, Ind.- Michael E. Schrage, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Centier Bank, is pleased to announce the Bank’s plans to begin construction on a new Centier Bank branch in Cedar Lake, Ind. The new branch, which will be located at 9728 W. 133rd St. in Cedar Lake is expected to open by the end of 2023.
Schrage, along with Jennifer Doffin, Regional Sales Manager; Janelle Spindler, Centier Bank Branch Manager; Chris Salatas, Cedar Lake Town Manager; Diane Jostes of Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce; Bruce Boyer of Boyer Construction; and others gathered June 20, 2023, at the construction site for a groundbreaking ceremony.
Centier Bank has served the Cedar Lake community with an in-store Strack and Van Til branch for the past 10 years. Schrage said the community has grown so much in the last decade and he wanted to open a new stand-alone branch to offer banking conveniences, such as drive-thru banking. He is eager to witness the remarkable journey ahead as Centier Bank lays the foundation for the new banking center in the heart of the community.

Construction is expected to begin next month at the new, 1,900-sq. foot building located on the north side of West 133rd Avenue near the Parrish Avenue intersection in Cedar Lake. It will include the convenience of drive-up banking lanes, a drive-up EZ Deposit ATM, a free self-service coin machine, as well as the same remarkable service Centier clients have known to expect.
