Welcome to the Soil Biogeochemistry Lab!
We investigate how soils respond and adapt to management practices and global change. As one of the most dynamic components of the soil, we study how soil organic matter forms, cycles, and persists. Multiple players have a role in the dynamics of soil organic matter - minerals, microbes, plants, and the physical conditions within the soil (moisture, temperature, etc.). We rely on field and lab experiments to evaluate how these player interact to control soil biogeochemical cycling.
