The Las Vegas Desert Dogs is hosting an inaugural Lymphoma night, which will honor the son of the team's head coach and general manager.

The 'Tucker Out Lymphoma Night' will be held during the Desert Dogs' game against the Rochester Knigthawks on Saturday, March 25, at 7:30 p.m. at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

The game will honor head coach and general manager Shawn Williams's son Tucker, who passed away from Burkitt's Lymphoma in December 2014.

Following Tucker's diagnosis, the city of Buffalo, along with the NLL's Buffalo Bandits, who Shawn was playing with at the time, hosted the first-ever Tucker Out Lymphoma Night on April 5, 2014.

The annual game in Buffalo continues to this day and has raised over $150,000 for pediatric cancer care in Tucker's honor since that first night.

"Our lacrosse family is honored to continue the Tucker Out Lymphoma Night tradition in Las Vegas," said Williams.

"We want to do our part as a team to continue to raise awareness for childhood cancer and help other families who have children battling this disease. To have the opportunity to host this inaugural game in Vegas against the Rochester Knighthawks is truly special. As emotional as these games always are playing and coaching in Tucker's memory, I'm looking forward to sharing this night with our fans. Las Vegas has embraced us with open arms since we arrived, and I know they will embrace Tucker Out Lymphoma Night as well."

Special 'Tucker Out Lymphoma' jerseys will be worn by the Desert Dogs and will include the original superhero logo designed by a member of the extended Williams family featured on the front crest of the jerseys.

The official color of lymphoma awareness, lime green, is featured prominently on the jersey.

The jerseys will be available for auction via DASH and will be open to bids now through halftime of the game on March 25. The Rochester Knighthawks will also have jerseys available to bid on.

Opening bids for all jerseys start at $151.51, a tribute to Tucker's #51 lacrosse number he proudly wore.

A special 'Building the Pack Episode 3' will feature Tucker's story and be broadcasted on the Desert Dogs' social and YouTube channels soon.
