To achieve Latin Honors upon graduation, students must have 60 or more credits earned in Bellarmine University courses, and meet the following minimum cumulative GPA requirements as shown on the Bellarmine transcript:

  • Cum laude, for a GPA of 3.50 to 3.69, is represented by a medallion with a scarlet ribbon
  • Magna cum laude, for a GPA of 3.70 to 3.84, is represented by a medallion with a silver ribbon
  • Summa cum laude, for a GPA of 3.85 to 4.00, is represented by a medallion with a gold ribbon

Latin honors are awarded only upon completion of all degree requirements and are reflected on the student’s academic transcript.
