2024 Allen Jacobs Memorial Prayer Breakfast

March 18, 2016, was a date that devastated Greenville.

On that day, Greenville Police Department Officer Allen Jacobs lost his life in the line of duty. In the days following his death, we heard countless stories of his courage and bravery in serving the people of Greenville.

Later that month, Bob Jones University created the Allen Jacobs Memorial Scholarship Fund at the request of the Jacobs family. This fund assists students majoring in criminal justice and serves as a perpetual memorial of Officer Jacobs’ service.

About the Allen Jacobs Memorial Prayer Breakfast

To honor his memory on the eighth anniversary of his death and continue to raise scholarship funds in Jacobs’ memory, BJU is hosting the Allen Jacobs Memorial Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, March 14—beginning at 7 a.m. in the Davis Room of BJU’s Dixon McKenzie Dining Common. During the breakfast we will have a time of prayer for current law enforcement professionals. Additionally, we will recognize these professionals and their agencies in Greenville County who daily protect and serve our citizens, and we’ll present select officers with awards for their service.

Individual tickets are $40, and sponsorship opportunities are available. We are looking forward to being able to invite law enforcement professionals free of charge.
