Credit Requirements
Prior to graduation from this 45 credit hour program, students need 75 credit hours accumulated through other college credit, which can include up to 24 credit hours of Experiential Learning credit. College credits must be 100 level or higher with a C- or higher from an accredited (or approved unaccredited) college.
You can receive Grace College Experiential Learning Credit for documented life experiences after high school such as workplace learning and personal activities such as music lessons, athletic involvement, and computer courses. Our team will help you discover your credit-worthy experiences and document those experiences for credit. Grace awards one credit hour per 20 hours of documented experience at no cost to you!
Students currently below 39 credit hours should complete the Associate of Science in Liberal Arts prior to this bachelor degree in Human Services Online.
Admission Requirements
How to Apply
In order to be considered for enrollment in a Bachelor’s program at Grace, you must fulfill certain admission requirements. Below is a list of the requirements for the program.
- 60 prior college credit hours (some life and career experiences may be substituted for credit hours)
- Minimum 2.0 GPA
- Complete the application process
We recommend that you apply for admission at least one month before the next entry term. Students applying after the deadline are considered on a space available basis. It is best to apply early!

Online Application
After all parts of your application have been completed and received in our enrollment office, your application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.

Transcript Request
Request official transcripts from the school where you obtained your bachelor’s degree. If you are currently working on your degree, you can submit an unofficial transcript for admission until term completion, at which time an official transcript is required. Transcripts should be sent to onlineadmissions@grace.edu.

Acceptance Process
When all of the steps have been completed, you will be advised of the Admissions Committee’s decision. The Admissions Committee may request that you submit additional materials and/or that you interview with a representative of the College.

Enrollment Deposit
Upon acceptance, submit your $100 Enrollment Deposit to accept your offer of admission. Your $100 deposit will be credited to your student account. Welcome to the Grace College community!

2012 MBACourse Overview
Students will learn the fundamentals of identifying problems of clients and formulating creative solutions by networking with available resources, becoming a liaison with the community, and utilizing secular and faith-based organizations to assist with emotional, financial, social and spiritual needs.
Models of case management and the various roles of the human services professional will be explored. Intake assessment, service plan development, and record documentation will be examined, along with legal and ethical guidelines and considerations in working with diverse client populations.
Course content will focus on skills related to verbal and nonverbal communication important for establishing positive rapport, understanding and applying one's own style of relating, resolving conflict, and assisting clients in clarifying goals and desired outcomes. It will also include appraisal of current cultural factors on interpersonal communication.
Course content provides a fundamental understanding of the processes involved in defining social problems, policy making structures and procedures, and current social welfare programs and systems within the United States.
This course facilitates identification of specific human needs and conditions, which are the core of the human services profession, and the range of human service delivery systems that address them. The conditions most often encountered with addictions and chemical dependency, aging populations, crime, mental and physical illnesses, poverty, delinquency and developmental disabilities will be explored in depth.

There are 15 required courses, for a total of 45 credit hours. In combination with a student’s prior credits, the complete degree is 120 credit hours.

Degree completion programs can be completed in as little as 16 months!

Each course is five weeks long. The student will take one class at a time in most sessions with occasionally doubling-up to maintain full-time status.

Yes! Students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA form. Just log on to www.fafsa.ed.gov. Remember to include Grace College’s school code: 001800. Students need to have a minimum of 60 credit hours of prior college credit completed to begin the program. They must have a total of 75 transfer credits to complete the program. If students do not have 60 prior credit hours, there are a few options for earning this credit. Twenty-four credit hours may be earned through experiential learning.
