About the Facility

The FBCG Family Life Center is one of the largest of its kind in Prince George's County and includes:

Three Full Basketball Courts
Two Additional Half Courts
Pickleball Courts
Volleyball Courts
Chess & Checkers
Fitness Center
Multi-Purpose Room
Walking Track
Concessions
Vending Machines
Performance Stage

Our Mission

Our mission is to use health and wellness as a tool to Develop "Fit and Healthy" Dynamic Disciples. The facility is available to members of First Baptist Church of Glenarden as well as the local community.

Safety Measures

Masks are strongly encouraged
Contactless check-in
Equipment will be disinfected throughout the day
Bring water bottle for hydration

+ Walking Track

8 laps for 1 mile.

+ Fitness Center

13-15 years old with an adult

Free weights and weight machines

Treadmill

Elliptical

Stationary and Recumbent bikes

Steps, weighted ropes, balls, bands for your use

+ Basketball Courts

Open Gym M-F (6AM-2PM); Sat (7AM-10AM) (Times are subject to change.)

Three full courts

Two half courts

No basketball trainers allow on full courts. Half court rentals only.

Men’s Open Gym (25 years old and Up) every Saturday 8AM-10AM (Times are subject to change.)

+ Internship Program

Through partnerships with local colleges and universities, the Family Life Center offers unpaid internship opportunities with duties that may include facilitating classes, serving as a trainer and managing the fitness room.

Open play Mondays and Wednesdays (6:30PM-9:30PM) ages 16 and older.

FITNESS PROGRAM

Vision: “Keeping Families Faithfully Fit & Spiritually Strong”

Mission: To maintain God’s temples through exercise and nutrition, prayer, biblical teaching, and fellowship with others while equipping and encouraging them on this journey. Classes include but are not limited to cardio weights, Pilates, kickboxing, chair aerobics, Jamakin’ Me Move, Zoomba, jump roping, line dancing, walking, and more.

Meeting Days/Times: Mondays and Thursdays @ 7 p.m., Zoomba on Wednesdays @ 6 p.m., (on-site and virtual); Spiritual Walkers on Saturdays @ 7:30 a.m., Family Life Center
