Senior Advisor to the Executive Director, World Food Programme
Gresham Barrett currently serves as the Special Advisor to the Executive Director at the World Food Programme. Born in Oconee County, SC, Gresham graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, SC before serving in the United States Army from 1983-1987. He was a member of the South Carolina State House of Representatives (1996-2002), before being elected to four consecutive terms as a representative of South Carolina’s 3rd district in the United States Congress (2003-2011). Gresham joined the WFP in 2018, where he served a number of roles in both Washington, D.C. and Italy. In his current position, Gresham works on private sector relations and fund raising.
