Cattle Contracts Library Pilot Program

The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022 directed USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) to create a Cattle Contracts Library Pilot Program to increase market transparency for cattle producers.

To facilitate the Cattle Contracts Library Pilot Program data collection process, subject packers submit contract and volume information to AMS using a series of data collection forms identifying required information.   • April 21, 2022 Session -  AMS hosted a cattle industry listening session to inform the development of the Cattle Contracts Library Pilot Program on April 21, 2022.  
  • February 8, 2023 - AMS hosted a cattle industry session to discuss the Cattle Contracts Library Pilot Program after its public release to help stakeholders better understand how to use the pilot library.
