Although Inventures programming is primarily in English, Marlene's welcoming message in Spanish perfectly highlights our commitment to embracing diverse backgrounds, which we believe is essential for sparking creativity and innovation. 🙌 A pRoject Ethics Community Consensus Initiative (ARECCI), managed by the Health Platform team at Alberta Innovates, addresses the gap in ethics review of quality improvement, program evaluation, and health and human service projects. 🧠 For the past 20 years, project leads and organizations have looked to ARECCI for ethics guidance, training and thorough project review. Since 2003, 250 academic articles have utilized the ARECCI program/tools. 🌟 In 2023, ARECCI celebrated its 20th anniversary at the annual fall retreat, a significant milestone for ARECCI and the community. 🍁 It's a Canadian first! ⚡ DYK - we operate the Hydrogen Centre of Excellence, helping support this important and growing energy industry in Alberta. 🚗 As part of that support, our subsidiary InnoTech Alberta has opened Canada's first Hydrogen Quality Centre, to test hydrogen samples from industry for its purity. This is a vital part of producing hydrogen for vehicles and other high-end uses, no different than testing the quality of gasoline. Previously, Alberta-made hydrogen had to be sent to labs in the United States, a more costly and lengthy option. 🚀 This lab is now open for business!
