Amtrak is proud to join a select group of companies who place a priority on the mental well-being of employees. Mental Health America has recognized our efforts with The Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health. We know that safety comes in many forms and this recognition highlights the importance of creating supportive and healthier spaces where everyone can thrive. We thank our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging team, Total Rewards team and our Train of Thought Employee Resource Group (ERG) for their tireless work moving us forward. As we continue to observe Mental Health Awareness Month, and remain committed to creating a psychologically safe workplace for all. #mentalhealth

This April, Amtrak is proud to commemorate Autism Acceptance Month. Phil Martin, Lead Operational Safety Specialist, describes his Amtrak journey and how Amtrak's Employee Resource Group "Don't Dis Our Ability" has shaped his career at Amtrak. Phil shares "My entire life, people have asked me about how autism has made my life difficult and I never really can give them an answer. It's truly my belief that autism has been an honest superpower for me and through those special abilities, I've been able to thrive at every opportunity I've been afforded. But if I had to answer it, I guess I'd say that I'm from Maryland and the texture of crab legs triggers my sensory!" Curious about Amtrak ERGs? Explore more here: http://spr.ly/6040jGdIj
