Revisiting the Concept of Impermanence with Grounds for Sculpture

“How can we remake our relationship with monuments?” This is the question posed to both artists and visitors of the new exhibition at Grounds For Sculpture entitled “Slow Motion.”

A collaboration with Monument Lab, the curators of the exhibition, "Slow Motion" celebrates artwork created with unconventional materials, embracing the narrative possibilities of material impermanence and the pleasures of slow looking.

If you’re a Stevie Wonder fan, you have to give jazz pianist and bandleader James Austin, Jr’s music a listen. His 2018 debut album, Songs in the Key of Wonder, reinterprets Stevie Wonder’s beloved catalog with a Jazz spin, creating beautiful new tracks.

When Burlington-based Bridge Players Theatre Company originally planned to produce the classic 1959 musical “Once Upon a Mattress,” it was 2020 and the pandemic disrupted the planned performances. Now, four years later, the company finally gets the chance to put on this production with many of the same cast members that were originally supposed to be in the show.

First-time playwright Erik Kahn has managed to showcase the beauty of overcoming one’s circumstances. Set on August 31st, 1939, his play “Canned Goods” details the little-known false flag operation that preceded the start of the Second World War. Three men were code-named “Canned Goods” by Himmler and were used by the SS to justify Hitler’s invasion of Poland.
