Angling Opportunities

Abundant fishing opportunities exist in this segment of the Llano River for Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, and sunfish. It's also an excellent place to catch White Bass when they are running in the spring. Fishing for Largemouth Bass is best when turbidity in the river is low, as this species feeds primarily by sight. Bass anglers should target downed trees and aquatic vegetation in pool habitat.

Anglers are urged to practice catch-and-release of sportfish in this segment, especially for bass.

Fishing Regulations

All species are currently managed under statewide regulations.
