Chain of Responsibility Training Program

Once-off funding supporting the development and delivery of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) training and education projects to help boost safety across the supply chain.

The following successful grant recipients will be working with the NHVR to develop and deliver tailored training programs focused on the Chain of Responsibility.

Understanding Your Role in the Supply Chain: A Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Guide for Queensland Producers

The project will deliver 15 face-to-face one-day workshops across regional and remote Queensland to educate agricultural producers about their Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations and reduce CoR risks.

Chain of Responsibility Training Program

This project aims to build on AFRA existing CoR training program by delivering the following:

  • Draft detailed training plan to align current CoR courses more thoroughly and effectively with NHVR Compulsory Topics.
  • Update current written training materials and have them legally reviewed and more effectively educate all industry participants using a video training supplement.
  • Deliver this training effectively to the broadest number of participants by offering it online and with subtitles.

This project will develop and deliver a training program for health and safety professionals, compliance managers, people and culture teams and others providing professional advice on compliance with CoR obligations.

Critical Concepts under the Heavy Vehicle National Law

This project is to develop a training program designed for executives with responsibilities under Chapter 1A of the Heavy Vehicle National Law. The objectives of the training are to demystify chain of responsibility and the shared responsibility, inform executives of their duties and provide practical guidance and examples of how the relevant data can be captured and reported to provide oversight and assurance of effective compliance.

This project consists of the development and delivery of a hybrid CoR training session & implementation workshop targeting executive teams and key managers in local councils and utilities across Australia.

This project is to develop an International Freight Forwarding & Logistics CoR awareness training program specifically designed for organisations, their managers, and supervisors with the intention that these same leaders would then use this program to develop their own in-house procedures that they can then use to upskill their workforce.

Chain Of Responsibility - A Heavy Vehicle SMS for Non-Standard Transport Operations

This project seeks to advance its work with NSW NPWS and BSNA to develop a transport specific SMS for integration into broader organisational system and, in doing so, identify design and deliver specific guidance, education and training to address the hazards and risks specific to any similar non-traditional operator of heavy vehicles. It will target both grass roots level employees and supervisors who control and influence heavy vehicle operations and, more importantly, the executive and senior management responsible for supporting, resourcing, and monitoring these safety critical tasks.

This project proposes to partner with Chain of Responsibility training specialist MAEZ Consulting to undertake an in-depth assessment of the SunPork business' supply chain and develop tailored on-line training for use by our executives, and those employees who have a duty under National Heavy Vehicle Law.
