Organized by ASHRAE, Kuwait University (KU), Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) and Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE), and Sponsored by Kuwait University (KU), Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), Alghanim International - Platinum Sponsor, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) - Gold Sponsor and Refrigeration Industries (RIC) - Silver Sponsor , the conference will bring together energy planners, researchers and users to optimize the utilization of basic energy resources in the major energy consuming sectors in the arid regions of the Arabian Peninsula.

"This conference is a great opportunity for networking, where one gets to share ideas, exchange valuable feedback, and connect with likeminded people, or with those of more or less similar topics of interest," said Walid Chakroun, Conference Chair.  "It is a link to develop oneself with the state-of-art technology and research milestone.  Attending this conference plays a vital role in professional as well as personal development."

The organization of the conference is divided into two parts: one part will be devoted to oral presentations and discussions of the accepted papers.  The second part will include lectures by invited speakers who have an excellent record and experience in the subject of energy.

The scope of the conference is closely related to the latest research and development in the field of energy.

The conference will be held at the Conference Cultural Centre, in the Sabah Al-Salem Kuwait University City in Kuwait (one of the largest campuses in the world).

The Organizing Committee will arrange visas for participants with accepted papers and invited speakers.

Embark on a journey to discover Kuwait's commitment to clean energy and witness the power of nature harnessed for a brighter tomorrow.

Discover the Vision: Pioneering Clean Energy
Kuwait's bold step towards a sustainable future begins here. Experience the Shagaya Renewable Energy Park, an ambitious initiative by KISR to transform Kuwait's energy landscape, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and pave the way for renewable energy development.

Phase I Unveiled: Where Dreams Take Shape
In Phase I of this remarkable project you'll encounter:

    • 50 MW Concentrated Solar Power Plant: Behold the marvel of technology as the sun's energy is concentrated to generate clean electricity, marking a significant leap towards carbon-neutral power generation. Equipped with 10 hours molten salt energy storage system.
    • 10 MW Wind Farm: Feel the gentle breeze as towering wind turbines gracefully capture the wind's energy, demonstrating the potential of wind power as a sustainable energy source. The Shagaya Park wind farm is the first wind farm to operate in the Gulf region.
    • 10 MW Photovoltaic (PV) Plant: Experience the future of energy with photovoltaic panels harnessing sunlight to produce electricity, contributing to a greener and more diverse energy mix.

A Symphony of Collaboration: Making the Impossible Possible
The realization of Phase I has been a collective effort:

    • Engineering and Construction: TSK Electrónica y Electricidad spearheaded the engineering, procurement, and construction of CSP and PV plants, ensuring cutting-edge technology integration.
    • Wind Power Excellence: A consortium between Elecnor and Al-Ghanim International brought the Wind Farm to life, highlighting the potential of wind energy in Kuwait.
    • Infrastructure Champions: Larson and Tubro, Inabensa and AlMulla consortium, and Specialities Construction Company meticulously crafted the infrastructure, enabling seamless energy production.
