Sixth in Buckeye Spring 50
(March
25, 2024) Tim McCreadie and Rocket1 Racing
made their debut together over the March 23-24 weekend in a pair
of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series contests in the states of Indiana
and Ohio. Tim knocked down the fourth quickest time in Group A during
the qualifying session at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana
prior to securing an impressive heat race triumph. After starting
third on the grid in the $15,000 to win 'Indiana Icebreaker,' Tim
unfortunately slipped back outside of the top ten and ultimately
placed eleventh at the unfurling of the checkered flag in the 50-lap
event.
The dirt-slinging action then quickly shifted to Atomic
Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Sunday for the annual running of the 'Buckeye
Spring 50,' which shelled out a $12,000 top prize. Tim stopped the
clock third fastest in Group B during time trials and later ran
second in his loaded heat race. The Watertown, New York superstar
then started and finished sixth in the 50-lapper behind only winner
Jonathan Davenport, Mike Marlar, Devin Moran, Jimmy Owens, and Bobby
Pierce. Tim finds himself ninth in the latest version of the LOLMDS
point standings exiting the double-dip. Complete results can be
