Tyler Cain

April 13, 2024 - The Indiana Late Model Series made their first appearance of the year at the Speedway and Tyler Cain would record the first ILMS Pro Late Model win of 2024.


Cain would lead all 25-laps of the feature event with Jug Wethington hot on his heals for most of the event. Cain would eventually stretch out his lead in the late stages of the race to get the win ahead of Jug Wethington, Brent Lee, Rohn Moon and Tyler Neal.


Rounding out the top ten was Mark Bechelli, Zack Burton, Caleb Schryer, Elliott Despain and Brian Wilhite.


The Pewter Hall Super Stock feature would be a good one. Greg Amick would use the top side of the Speedway to work his way thru the field to be side-by-side with race leader Tucker Chastain at the white flag. Amick would pull ahead of Chastain at the checkers to take the win. Following Amick and Chastain was Jamey Wilson, Isaiah Sasser and Zach Sasser.


Mickey Hines would lead 17 of 20 laps in Crossroads Truck Equipment Pure Stocks but had mechanical troubles with 2 laps to go. Josh Turner inherited the lead and would go on to score his second straight win. Brent McMillan, Keaton Streeval, Ross Smith and Cody Ellison trailed Turner at the finish.


In Crown Vic feature action, Dustin Cross had to hold off Jeff Cranmer in a near photo finish to score his first ever Brownstown victory. Jeff Cranmer, Todd Cain, Jason Cranmer and Chris Young completed the top five.


The Hornet division feature produced another first ever Brownstown winner. Cordell Moore parked his ride in Brownstown victory lane for the first time ever over Jeremy Shemwell, Nathan Jones, Jeremy Ogle and Brian Pollitt.

Dennis Erb Jr. Dominates "Ira Bastin Memorial"....

April 6, 2024 - It was opening points night at the Speedway and the running of the "2nd Annual Ira Bastin Memorial" featuring the Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series for Slicker Graphics Super Late Models. Thirty-nine Super Late Models were on hand gunning for the $5000 top prize.


Dennis Erb Jr. would lead all 40 laps, getting his 27th career Northern Allstars Late Model victory. A great battle from second on back would see Jason Jameson, Tanner English, Josh Rice & Seth Daniels round out the top five.


Hard charger of the race, Cody Mahoney would finish 6th from his 14th starting spot followed by fast qualifier Tristan Chamberlain, Devin Gilpin, Rod Conley & Greg Johnson.


Isaiah Sasser took the lead from Tucker Chastain with ten laps to go in Pewter Hall Super Stock feature action and Sasser would go on to pick up his first ever Brownstown win. Following Sasser & Chastain was Zach Sasser, Colton Sullivan & Rick Gumm.


Keaton Streeval jumped to the early lead in the Crossroads Truck Equipment Pure Stock feature but would drop out of the race at the half-way mark. Josh Turner would take over the lead and hold off a charging Brent McMillan for the win. Mickey Hines, Davey Waggoner & Jacob Owens completed the top five.


The Crown Vic feature wouldn't be decided until the checkers as Chris Young, Jeff Roberts and Dustin Cross were all fighting for the win mixed in with several lapped cars as they crossed the finish line. Chris Young would come out the winner, his first ever Brownstown win. Dustin Cross, Jeff Roberts, Ryan Woods & Joel Smith followed Young at the checkers.

March 30, 2024 - The Midwest Thunder 410 Non-wing Sprint Car series rolled into the Speedway on Saturday night to kick off their 2024 racing season. Thirty-four non-wing Sprint Cars were on hand for this "Spring Meltdown" event, and they were joined by thirty-one MMSA Mini Sprints & thirty Hornets.


The Midwest Thunder 25-lap feature would see Kyle Cummins jump to the early lead, but a flat tire on lap five would cause Cummins to have to restart in 20th spot after a trip to the hot pit for a new tire. Robert Ballou would take over the lead with CJ Leary in tow. Leary would pass Ballou and hold the lead until 5 to go when Ballou would pass Leary back only to have the yellow flag fly before the lap was complete, putting Leary back to the front for the restart. Cummins had worked his way back to 7th at this point.


On the restart Leary, Ballou, Carson Garrett and Cody Trammell would all try to lead the race coming off turn two. Ballou would reclaim the lead, but his night would soon end as he would exit the race with 3 laps to go. Leary held off a hard charging Cummins over the last two laps to get the win by a half a car length at the finish. Cody Trammell, Brandon Mattox, and Jadon Rogers (from his 17th starting spot) rounded out the top five. Jake Scott, Carson Garrett, Aj Hopkins, Colton Cottle, and Wesley Smith completed the top ten.


In MMSA Mini Sprint action, Jordan Shipley would jump to the lead in the twenty-lap feature and lead flag-two-flag for is first ever MMSA win. Elijah Knoke, Brandon Justus, Brian Strane, and Eli Wilhelmus trailed Shipley at the finish.


Michael Brewer is no stranger to victory lane in the Hornet division and he would find his way there again, winning the first Hornet race of the year. Shannon Walp, Jeremy Ogle, Brian Pollitt, and Jeremy Shemwell rounded out the top five.

Devin Moran Wins First Indiana Icebreaker...
Zach Sasser & Keaton Streeval Visit Victory Lane.

March 23, 2024 - After 10 years of trying to make it to Brownstown Speedway Victory Lane, Devin Moran was finally able to breakthrough – winning the 27th Annual Indiana Icebreaker on Saturday night. Forty-eight Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Super Late Models were on hand for the event.


With the win, Moran becomes the tenth different winner in the last 10 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series races. The fans saw six lead changes among three drivers during the 50-lap race. Bobby Pierce, who led the most laps, with 19, finished second followed by Mike Marlar, Max Blair, and Ricky Thornton Jr.


Completing the top ten were Hudson O’Neal, Brandon Sheppard, Josh Rice, Nick Hoffman, and Daulton Wilson.


Zach Sasser led all twenty caution-free laps in the Pewter Hall Super Stock feature to win the first Super Stock feature of 2024. Zach Sasser was followed by Isaiah Sasser, Tucker Chastain, Rick Gumm, and Trey Chastain.


In Crossroads Truck Equipment Pure Stocks, Keaton Streeval would score the first Pure Stock feature of 2024 by leading flag-to-flag. A great battle from second on back would see Will McRoberts, Josh Turner, Brent McMillan, and Mickey Hines complete the top five.
