In October 2020 we ran a Grandparents Day competition where we asked you to use the Bluey Grandparents augmented reality ("AR") filter on Facebook and send us video messages from your little ones for their grandparents.
We used as many of your submissions as possible to make a special video compilation which you can watch in the video player at the top of this page. A big thank you to everyone who submitted a video. While we were unable to include all of the submitted videos, we really enjoyed watching them all.
Just because the competition is over it does not mean that you can't continue to use and enjoy the Bluey Grandparents AR filter on Facebook. For instructions on how to use the filter see the details below.
How to use the Bluey Grandparents AR Filter
If you have a Facebook account, we have a very special Bluey AR app for you. The filter enables your little ones to feature alongside Bluey and Bingo!
How to set up the Bluey Grandparents AR filter

Using your mobile device, click on the link below to open the Bluey Grandparents AR filter in the Facebook app on your device. Please note, the filter will not work on a desktop computer.
- 2.Tap on the screen to make Bluey and Bingo appear.
- 3.Once Bluey and Bingo appear in your frame, use your fingers to make them larger/smaller and to move them to wherever you like.
- 4.Click on one of the four icons above the record button to select the message you would like to appear on the screen: We love grandma, We love Grandpa, We love our grandparents, We love you.

Record a video using Bluey Grandparents AR filter
When you are familiar with using the AR filter, record a message of your little ones alongside Bluey and Bingo and save it to your device by hitting the save icon on the screen.
