Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford is promising to cut corporate taxes by one percentage point if he becomes premier in June.

The news sets up a clear choice for big businesses who would face a 1.5 percentage point tax hike under the NDP and the status quo under the Liberals.

The Liberals haven’t released their campaign platform but the March budget left the corporate tax rate unchanged. The province already has the lowest corporate tax rate among Canadian provinces.
