We make the bulk of our community investments in the form of grants to nonprofit organizations and governmental entities whose work aligns with our purpose and values. Our grants include, but are not limited to, support for specific programs and unrestricted funding for general operating support.

In addition, Dogwood helps create more sustainable organizations across WNC through funding for capacity building and assistance for organizations to work with professional grant writers (via our Leverage Fund) to pursue larger grants from state and federal sources outside our region. We also occasionally invite nonprofit partners and co-funders to consider Impact Investments that align with our grantmaking goals.
