The Office of Fire Prevention and Control (OFPC) advances public safety through a wide range of services with an emphasis placed on developing local capacity, while concurrently delivering directly, highly technical and specialized services to our citizens and client groups when it is prudent and proper to deliver such at the State level. OFPC's main goal is the effective and efficient delivery of essential fire and life safety protection to all New Yorkers.

Training and Events
The Office of Fire Prevention and Control (OFPC) plans, develops, coordinates and provides training to more than 30,000 firefighters, related governmental officers and other emergency response personnel annually.
Management Systems
Learning Management System (LMS)

The LMS will give you access to the current available trainings and enable authorized users to register for courses administered by OFPC and DHSES.

 

Fire Information Management

The New York State Fire Reporting System is the central data collection mechanism for more than 1,800 fire departments in the State.
