BFTA is organized by The Arts Business Collective which is led by people of color, for people of color standing up for Black Lives Matter. It was born out of a need: the need for people of color to have a place and a voice within the arts community. It strives to create a safe, supportive space where artists of color can feel supported, flourish, and share their talents with the world.
