This summer, we were pleased to announce our rawr-some range of family-friendly After Hours evenings at Edinburgh Zoo! Our events are now finished so keep an eye out for other events happening later this year!
Families joined us for a range of dino-mite evenings filled with acoustic music, kids entertainment from magician Tricky Ricky, outdoor games and more, for all ages to enjoy. With a selection of themed food and drink vendors throughout, adventurers had the chance to stop to re-charge before heading on to explore our animal exhibits and braving the dinosaur territory at dusk!
Many visitors captured lasting memories at our prehistoric photo opportunity and took home their own personalised souvenir from our kiosks in the gift shop.
This evening was for all ages to enjoy, however, we also had a range of adults and member only evenings to choose from. So if you prefer a tipple over tots, check out After Hours for grown-ups.

Tickets can be purchased for entry from three timeslots – 6pm, 6:15pm and 6:30pm. Please note you can arrive after your booked time, however last entry is 8pm and the event will close at 9:30pm. Edinburgh Zoo Terms & Conditions apply.

Our prestige ticket includes exclusive entry through the Budongo gate at the top of the car park, where you will then head into the Budongo trail for VIP drinks and canape reception. Followed by a t-riffic pre-historic ranger talk! Please note, entry is at 5:30pm with last entry at 5:45pm.
Member only evenings
We are hosting two After Hours events at Edinburgh Zoo exclusively for members to enjoy on Friday 17 June and Saturday 18 June 2022. These events are strictly for RZSS members only and proof of membership will be required to gain entry.
