Masters in Integrative and Functional Medicine Dual Degree

The Master of Science in Integrative and Functional Medicine Dual Degree at Grace College is in partnership with John Patrick University of Health and Applied Sciences in South Bend, Ind.

The Integrative and Functional Medicine Master’s degree uniquely equips our students to not only address the outcome of disease, but also analyze the factors that influence its occurrence such as lifestyle and the environment.  As our country continues to develop larger waistlines, metabolic disorders such as diabetes have become increasingly prevalent resulting in poor health outcomes.  The Integrative and Functional Medicine nutrition program enables our graduates to come alongside and counsel patients and clients in helping them to make thoughtful choices regarding food and exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle.

The Masters in Integrative and Functional Medicine is a dual degree program, a combined bachelors and masters degree, completed in four years.  The functional medicine degree pairs with the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science or Health Science students at Grace College. They will receive a bachelors degree in liberal arts and science, under the guidance of Grace College professors, while simultaneously studying the Integrative and Functional Medicine nutrition program with JPU professors online.

The IFM program is offered entirely through distance education and prepares individuals to assume roles as health and wellness professionals in private business and industry, community organizations, and health care settings. The Master of Science in Integrative and Functional Medicine includes instruction in personal health, community health & welfare, nutrition, epidemiology, disease prevention, fitness & exercise, and health behaviors.

Future Integrative and Functional Medicine professional, the way forward is Grace.
