Our families Need Your Support

Thanks to generous donors, Better Families has been able to help thousands of children. How do we put your dollars to work? While our volunteer host families generously give their time and attention to children, your donations purchase food, clothing and the other necessities they will need while they are in our care.

With your financial support, our Better Families model can be replicated across the state. There are more families who need us, and thanks to our strong partnership with the state’s Department of Children and Families, we are working against a rising tide of child neglect statewide. It costs approximately $250,000 to launch Better Families in a new market, but think of the difference we can make!

“Florida has the third-largest foster care system in the United States… If we can do it in Florida, we can do it anywhere,” says Better Together CEO, Megan Rose.

If you would like to be part of this extraordinary program, driven entirely by private funding and volunteers, donate now.

Better Together is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and charitable contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. Our federal tax identification number is 47-5591391 fka FlourishNow Inc.

What can $100 buy a child? A lifetime of Hope!

On average, it costs about $30,000 in taxpayer dollars to keep a child in foster care. The alternative is donating $100 per month…

That’s all it costs for Better Together to host a child, on average, and 98% of our children never end up in state protection. For just $1,200 per year, you can give a lifetime of HOPE to a child, which is why we call donors who give this amount our Hopeful 100!

Donor Testimonials

Your DOllars at Work

As responsible stewards of your donation, we’re happy to report the vast majority of funds go to resources for the children in our care. This includes food, clothing and other necessities that our volunteer host families can’t always provide on their own.

Additionally, your dollars fuel our small but smooth-running team as they equip and support our powerful volunteer force. The beauty of our model is that it is cost-effective, and that is a strength in which we take great pride!
