March Stapleton Principal Screening Committee Application
Framingham Public Schools Stapleton Principal Screening Committee

Want to be part of a team that will help with the process of identifying the new leadership for Stapleton?  This is an important opportunity to engage in a collaborative process that will help us determine the next leader of Stapleton.  Framingham Public Schools (FPS) encourages you to express your interest to serve in Rounds 1 and 2 of this critical process.

The process for the Principal search will be as follows:

Round 1: Initial Candidate Selection Screening Committee: Members who serve on the Screening Committee of Round 1 of the process will be asked to establish key characteristics of a Stapleton Principal and then review resumes and applications. They will recommend 8-10 candidates who will proceed to Round 2 of the process.  The Screening Committee will consist of 4 parents, 4 teachers, and 4 administrators.

Round 2: Stakeholder Screening Committee Interviews: Four screening committees of each stakeholder group (parents, teachers, school-based administrators, and Central Office administrators) will each conduct 30-minute interviews with the selected candidates from Round 1 and rate their performance. No more than 10 individuals will make up each stakeholder group. Candidates will also be asked to complete a writing assignment. At the end of Round 2, ratings will be tallied, and 5-7 candidates will proceed to Round 3.

Round 3: Cabinet and Superintendent of Schools Interviews: The Cabinet and Assistant Superintendents will interview the candidates and submit 2-3 finalists.

Round 4: Final Stapleton Staff and Families Forum:  The candidates will each meet with the Stapleton community and answer questions.

The purpose of this Application is to solicit parent and educator volunteers who would like to serve on a screening committee during either Round 1 or Round 2 of the interview process.

All Screening Committee members must undergo a full training, which includes an anti-bias training, and commit to a significant amount of time.  All meetings will be virtual. Screening Committee members will have work to complete outside of designated meeting times and MUST attend ALL meetings for their respective Round.
