Here’s a really personal story about the last time I was FIRED … After this I was emotionally exhausted. I knew that I would be okay, but I struggled to handle failure in the smallest of actions. I realized that being stuck at home and seeing my bank account go down was the worst thing for me. So here’s what I did: 1) I downloaded Bacon Inc. and started picking up some shifts. Why? I needed to have some wins and I needed to accomplish something. These shifts helped me regain my sense of self worth and sparked by creativity. Because online job applications definitely don’t do so. After this experience I came back to Bacon about a year later and proactively became an investor. I love this company - I support this company (Hunter Sebresos) 2. I got connected into the Community. For me I did so by getting into some TribeHouse events. No group is better at facilitating REAL connections. I found large networking events were hard for me because I couldn’t handle the “how’s life conversations?”. I also needed to broaden my pool of relationships (especially implementing the learn, serve, grow methodology). Learn to serve others first. Plus who doesn’t feel happy being around Brenda Hiatt, David Osmond and Jared Stewart Years later I am blessed to have partnered with them and Paul Vassau to create TribeAngels. 3. Once you are ready - go FAIL. There is nothing wrong with failing, so it’s okay to ask, be proactive, have confidence. It’s a hard time - but you have extreme value for a company … they just don’t know it yet. You will succeed.

This was before I created Assure Syndicates I needed to figure out who I was in order to create what I wanted to create. My experienced make me who I am. I am more empathetic because of my experience. I am more able to handle hard times because of this experience. I am a believer in others. I am grateful for it all.

Landon Ainge, I’m so glad that Bacon was there when you needed something to keep you fighting and to help spark your creativity. Talk about thorough due diligence! I tell our team that we are striving to create a world where hustle beats privilege. We believe it’s not about where you start from but where you are headed and that nothing should stand in the way of your growth. Your example, by creating Assure Syndicates, has shown the “hustle and shine” that we encourage in all our workers. We are blessed to have you as an investor as we build our vision. Thanks for your support and inspiration.

I love the stories many of us have that we don't talk about much, like doing some gig work just to build some momentum in life. I worked custodial at one point just to have time to date my now wife. In hindsight, those early mornings were good prep for military life as well!
