About this event

The Tackling Illegal Drugs Program is all about preparing sporting clubs to address illegal drug-related issues in case they occur.

Join the Good Sports Team and NT Sport Integrity Officer Don Boyanton for a brief consultation and information session.

By attending the forum you will discover:

  • How the Good Sports Program can help clubs maintain healthy and family friendly environments
  • The benefits of having alcohol and other drugs policies
  • Practical steps for clubs to manage drug-related incidents
  • What local support services are available to help clubs deal with issues that may arise

Additionally, the Northern Territory Sporting Integrity Unit will provide information on member protection, drugs in sport, child safety and the tools, resources and people that are available to assist members of clubs and sports to address those issues and risks.

Individual clubs are then supported to show leadership in their community by using their knowledge to create an illegal drugs policy. Good Sports will provide the free resources to do that.

Clubs will learn more about illegal drugs and why it’s such an important issue to prioritise.
