Online Students to Off-Campus Event

Ten students with majors and minors in social sciences got to hear Dr. Reuben Jonathan Miller, MacArthur "Genius Grant" Fellow and University of Chicago sociologist, speak about our mass imprisonment society on Thursday, April 11. Moreover, it allowed students, some of whom are fully online students, an opportunity to connect with others who have the same academic and social advocacy passions.

Students Presented at NCUR Conference

With support from the Student Research Travel Award administered by the Office of Undergraduate Research, six UWG students presented mentored research at the 2024 National Conference of Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Long Beach, California on April 8-10. The presenters were: Marissa Keeler, Leetavious Maines, Kayleigh Metcalf, Kyli Cauthen, and Tian Green, and CJ Okpala. Acceptance to the conference confirms the relevance of their research, and presenting at the event elevates their competitiveness as they prepare for graduation, in addition to further enhancing UWG's reputation on the national stage.
