This is a wonderful story that is perfect to read aloud. The rhythm and rhyme in the narrative makes it fun to share and the repetition of the key phrase "but the bear snores on" offers an opportunity for participation and interaction with your child or a group of children.

This book is a joy to read aloud. The rhythm and rhyme of the story is magical and the acrylic illustrations are warm and welcoming. As all the woodland animals gather in Bear's Lair to escape the cold blustery night, a party develops. But "bear snores on" until one tiny pepper fleck causes the poor bear to sneeze. What follows is celebration of friends and fun on a cold winter's night.
