Book three of Atlee Pine

by BookAnn, Nanaimo, British Columbia on 12-14-2020

Another good story by David Baldacci. My husband and I have read all of his books. This is a good series, as "hearty" Atlee Pine and her quaint side kick Carol Blum continue her search for her missing twin sister. Of course, she also gets embroiled in another case that is involved with similar situations. The usual twists and strong action. I have to say though, I thought this might be the last of the series, but there's room for more. The ending disappointed me a bit.

Daylight, David Baldacci

CAUTION, the ending of this book will leave you feeling frustrated and unfulfilled. Once again the author takes you on a convoluted but fascinating plot for in my case 600 + pages (large print edition) and leaves you with many unresolved plot lines. It reminded me of an old saying, “fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me” The shame is on me, because the author did this same scam in his last book of this series “A minute to midnight” involving the same characters.
