CAMPUS PRESERVATION FUND

Preserve, refresh and renew campus historic homes and buildings.
FUNDING LEVEL60%
Every building has a story of the events, people, materials and history that surrounds the building’s existence. The College of Charleston’s campus includes 90 historic homes and buildings that contain centuries-old stories. As stewards of this campus, we are tasked with the duty of preserving and maintaining our facilities. As part of the historic landscape of the City of Charleston, we have the responsibility of ensuring the structural integrity of our buildings so that we can share with the next generation. During the College of Charleston’s 250th Anniversary, we will honor and recount the College’s growth from a classroom in the basement of 6 Glebe Street to a thriving, modern campus that blends modern architecture with classical, colonial, antebellum and Victorian structures.
