Course layout changes are coming, Monday, March 4! On Demand will be optimized for mobile devices, making learning convenient and accessible wherever you are no matter how you access a course. You'll experience the same high-quality content with a refreshed layout and won't lose any current progress in a course or work toward a CDA.
The On Demand system may be unavailable between 5 a.m.-7 a.m. (EST) for system maintenance. Check the system status here.
On Demand course features
The first time you log in to On Demand you will be shown a short overview video highlighting On Demand features.
In addition to simplified registration and easy filtering of course content, we've also added these new features inside of the courses themselves:
- Assessment grading. You must get a minimum of 80 percent correct, or you will have to review the course and try the assessment again.
- Video timers. The content in our course videos is so important. You can no longer continue in a course until the video has played in its entirety.
- You can pay for more than one On Demand lesson at a time. Better Kid Care's On Demand system has an option to prepay for multiple professional development online lessons for you and/or your staff. Details here.
- Preview all content free of charge. Create an account to take any lesson for free. You only pay if you need a certificate of completion. Sign in now!
- Stop and start a lesson. Learn at your own pace. If you are interrupted while you are taking a lesson, you can stop and return to the lesson at a later time.
- Online professional development certificate available. There is a $5.00 fee/lesson to receive professional development hours for most courses. You will be directed to a credit card payment screen prior to taking the assessment. You must have a credit card to complete the lesson for professional development credit using the On Demand system.
- Print your own professional development certificate of completion. After you pay and successfully complete all the assessment questions for a lesson, you can choose to print your certificate of completion and/or have it sent to your e-mail address.
- View/print a complete list of all the Better Kid Care lessons you have completed. Included in your list are all of the lessons you have completed through Better Kid Care, even those not in On Demand!
Some users are experiencing technical difficulties when using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer for On Demand. At this time, we recommend using Mozilla Firefox with On Demand.
