Pakistan are one of the three Asian nations – with India and Malaysia – participating in the upcoming ‘Hero FIH Hockey5s Lausanne 2022’.
Players Waqar Younis and Murtaza Yaqoob share their excitement about this event. “People enjoy Hockey5s because the game is faster and more goal-scoring. They will really enjoy this event!”, says Murtaza. “It’s a very good thing from FIH to introduce this format”, he adds.
And both players rate Malaysia as their toughest opponent in this tournament, citing the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, where the Malaysian team – beating India in the final - won the Gold medal!
