List of designated organisations, associations and public entities drawn up and published pursuant to Article 14(6) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 of the European Parliament and of the Council on promoting fairness and transparency for business users of online intermediation services

The authorities of the Member States concerned have designated the organisations, associations and public entities mentioned below as having been granted the right to take action before competent national courts in the Union, in accordance with Article 14(1) and (7) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on promoting fairness and transparency for business users of online intermediation services (1), to stop or prohibit any non-compliance by providers of online intermediation services or by providers of online search engines with the relevant requirements laid down in that Regulation.

Its members are mostly small and medium-sized enterprises operating as business users or corporate website users. The specific scope of its duties is regulated by law. It therefore follows that its activities are in the general interest of undertakings and are of a non-commercial nature. |

The purpose of the Schutzverband gegen unlauteren Wettbewerb derives from its legal mandate. As a not-for-profit association, the purpose of the Schutzverband is to combat all forms of unfair competition and restrictions on competition, in conjunction with the competent judicial bodies where necessary, in order to eliminate infringements of the relevant legal provisions in place. It also aims to promote and defend the economic interests of entrepreneurs within the meaning of Section 14 of the Federal Law against Unfair Competition and Section 7 of the Federal Law on the improvement of local supply and economic conditions. It is also tasked with helping to promote fair business practices by providing information and guidance. |
