The dazzling opening gala gathered artists, patrons, and trustees to celebrate the museum's next chapter on a night unlike any other. Set in the heart of the museum's expanded campus, this ticketed fundraising event offered an inspiring and unexpected program. Gala tables started at $15,000 and pairs of seats started at $2,500, with an eye toward raising funds for the museum’s dynamic programming.

Museum members and Museum Friends had the opportunity to explore the new galleries and spaces before the opening at member-only previews. The Martin Building, Sie Welcome Center, and both The Ponti and Café Gio were open to all members those days.
Full Circle

Opening Day Celebration & Free Day

To commemorate the reopening of the renovated Martin Building and the brand-new Sie Welcome Center, the museum offered free general admission all day to the public.
Grand Opening Reception
The Museum Associates, Corporate Partners, and Museum Patrons along with museum leadership, artists, and curators gathered together for an elegant evening debuting eight floors of galleries and inaugural exhibitions in the Lanny & Sharon Martin Building and Anna & John J. Sie Welcome Center.
Untitled: Creative Fusions

Part art show and part concert, this exciting edition of Untitled: Creative Fusons featured a fresh mix of contemporary art from Alejandra Abad and music from Felix Ayodele. Together with collaborating artists, the night celebrated resiliency and empathy.
Statement of Health and Safety
Our guests’ health and safety remain at the forefront of our event planning. With this in mind, we strongly request museum event guests and attendees be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before attending the Grand Opening Events in October, including the Leadership Luncheon (Wed 10/13), Unveiled Gala (Fri 10/15), The Grand Opening Reception (Wed 10/20) and Full Circle (Fri 10/22). Alternatively, we ask that guests receive a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event. Guests will not be required to wear masks based on current city and state guidelines.
Upon your RSVP or ticket purchase you will receive a confirmation email with vaccine & testing verification instructions.
We kindly ask that if you are not feeling well on the day of the event that you remain at home, and we will celebrate with you at another time!
The Denver Art Museum staff are all fully vaccinated and event vendors will be masked.
