From butchers and bakers, to candlestick makers, and everyone else in between: Clear Channel UK is proudly offering 250 free-of-charge digital Out of Home campaigns to the UK’s local business owners that have worked tirelessly to support their local communities throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

The initiative – #BusinessAsUnusual – has been set up so\nthat the neighbourhood business owners, who’ve worked hard to adapt and\ncontinue trading, can drum up some new trade. They’ll have the opportunity to\nbroadcast new opening hours, deliveries, takeaways and the many other\nimaginative ways that they’re operating to keep offering products and services.

Clear Channel’s 2,300+ screen strong Adshel Live network will host the local advertisements, playing them on screens\nwithin a mile radius of the local business.

As many local businesses won’t have the facility to create\ntheir own advertisements for the screens, Clear Channel is offering design\nsupport to bring the free campaigns to life if required. Business owners will\nsimply be able to share an image and the words to be used, and the team will do\nthe rest.

One of the first businesses to join the initiative is The\nGriffin pub in Brentford. The pub has adapted to keep its\nkitchen open and offer a takeaway meal services three days a week, including a\nSunday roast.

The Griffin’s Landlords Gerhard and Claire Peleschka, “It’s\nbeen exceptionally tricky times for us over the past few weeks, but we’ve\nworked really hard to keep serving the local community which we’re proudly a\npart of. The support of Clear Channel is very welcome and we’re so glad that we\ncan get the word out even further that we’re open for takeaway.”

Clear Channel’s Chief Marketing Officer Martin Corke says, “The\nefforts that local business owners have gone to keep their communities watered,\nfed, healthy, happy and safe are astounding and they deserve celebrating. I’m\nimmensely proud that we can offer 250 free-of-charge campaigns to local\nbusinesses, especially at a time when they all need our custom more than ever.”
