Every Kid Outdoors: Kid-Friendly Locations

Kid-friendly locations on the National Forests in California.

The Forest Service encourages all 4th graders to get an Every Kid Outdoors Pass! The pass is used to access federal forests, parks, and trails that charge a fee for free! Print a pass voucher online at Every Kid Outdoors and display the voucher on the vehicle’s dashboard.

The Forest Service wants to see #everykidoutdoors! That’s why every 4th Grader is free—and bring a car full of family and friends for free!

 
  • Angeles

    Cooper Canyon Falls flow down a steep drop off surrounded by trees on the Angeles National Forest.

    Park your vehicle at the Buckhorn Day Use Area. Then hike along the Burkhart trail and explore Buckhorn and Cooper Falls!

  • Cleveland

    Butte Valley National Grassland

    Butte Valley National Grassland is the only National Grassland in CA and lies in a scenic basin within the southern Cascade Range.

  • Lake Tahoe Basin
