Boys and Girls Clubs of America

RTX works with Boys and Girls Clubs of America to provide equitable access to technology-focused education and experiences for every club member. In addition to our work opening STEM Centers of Innovation, we will help revamp the organization’s DIY STEM curriculum –the most highly used curriculum set– to adjust for cultural and technical relevancy. Our partnership also enables career exploration for club members with the launch of the Roadmap to Careers Platform.

Girls Who Code

RTX partners with Girls Who Code to close the gender gap in entry level engineering and tech jobs. By supporting GWC Clubs and Summer Immersion Programs, RTX helps provide access to and mentors for free computer science education with reach to 300,000 girls in grades 3-12 and through college. These programs build confidence and create supportive peer and mentor connections, providing a pathway to a career in engineering and tech.

Invention Convention Worldwide

The RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals is a competition for K-12 students who use critical thinking, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation to invent solutions to problems they see in their everyday lives. In 2021, this competition will scale globally for the first time with RTX as a founding sponsor. With 120,000 students participating in Invention Convention Worldwide, we are inspiring the next generation of innovators.

NAF

RTX partners with NAF to expand career-themed Academies of Engineering and embed them in public high schools across the U.S., providing equitable access – at scale – to engineering and technology curriculum. These programs improve student outcomes, provide students with work-based learning experiences, including mentorship and internship opportunities, and ensure high school students are college, career, and future ready.

SMASH

RTX partners with SMASH to help build a strong, diverse and socially conscious tech workforce. RTX supports SMASH programming that aims to eliminate barriers facing historically underrepresented students in STEM. Programs include a residential college prep program for students in high school and a work-based learning internship for students in college. Additionally, RTX awards university scholarships for SMASH students each year. Our work together ensures these students become the STEM workforce of the future.

FIRST

RTX supports a suite of FIRST’s team-based robotics challenges for students ages 4-18 around the world. Our employees mentor more than 300 teams of FIRST robotics students globally, introducing them to opportunities in engineering and technology while also growing life skills like teamwork. Our partnership with FIRST also includes a leadership role in the organization’s Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Council with the goal of ensuring that FIRST programming is inclusive and available for all students.

The Mission Continues

RTX works with The Mission Continues to empower veterans to serve in new ways, solve tough challenges, and mobilize local communities to serve alongside them. Our partnership supports the organization’s 65 community service platoons and three leadership development programs – a platoon leadership corps, a women veterans leadership program, and a mass community deployment program to mobilize hundreds of volunteers for high impact community improvement projects.

Student Veterans of America

RTX partners with Student Veterans of America to ensure student veteran success. Our support provides resources, network support, and advocacy efforts for students throughout their higher education journey and beyond. Our employees provide career readiness and mentoring opportunities for students at the more than 1,500 chapters across the country.

Supporting communities

Feeding America

RTX partners with Feeding America and its network of food banks to address hunger relief and food insecurity in our local communities. Our employees support local U.S.-based food banks through volunteerism by donating, sorting and distributing meal boxes in communities across the country. Additionally, we are addressing hunger through corporate and employee donations to Feeding America, the Global Food Banking Network and local food banks in our international communities around the world.

Engineers Without Borders

RTX partners with Engineers Without Borders to support their work to build a better world through skills-based volunteerism and engineering projects that empower communities to meet their basic human needs. Our partnership supports projects globally – in countries like Tanzania, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Nepal – and across the U.S. Our Employee Network Group is the first industry-based chapter for Engineers Without Borders – with nearly 130 volunteers and actively growing.
