Canon Canada is honoured to team up with Earth Rangers to get Canadian families involved in protecting wildlife habitat. Earth Rangers is a kids’ conservation organization, and Canon Canada is proud to support a group that shares its commitment to environmental education and responsibility in Canadian youth.

Earth Rangers Missions are activities that demonstrate how small actions, when done by many, can have a significant impact on the environment. Canon Canada is sponsoring an individual Mission, called Pollinator Power, and a school eco club Mission, called Habitat Helper. Pollinator Power teaches kids about the importance of pollinators – such as birds, bees and butterflies – along with the threat they face due to pesticides, disease and, most of all, habitat loss and fragmentation. Habitat Helper encourages students to invite wildlife back into their neighbourhoods and communities by creating places for animals to sleep, feed and nest.

This is not the first time Canon Canada has collaborated with Earth Rangers. Canon Canada began hosting Environmental Education Day in 2017. Students from local elementary schools spend the day at the company’s headquarters in Brampton, Ont. The event focuses on developing environmental literacy and encouraging students to be positive environmental stewards in their community. Canon Canada teamed with Earth Rangers for the three years the program has run so far. Earth Rangers hosts a meet-and-greet with their animal ambassadors, who educate the students about the importance of protecting biodiversity and their habitats.
