HAWK
HAWK is an Optical Communications Terminal (OCT) to bring high-bandwidth wireless communication to a wide array of airborne and terrestrial applications.
The product’s utilization of laser communications technology allows unprecedented wireless communication speeds at long link distances of dozens of kilometers for air-to-air, air-to-ground and ground-to-ground applications. The pressurized design allows a large environmental range of operations and features a hyper-hemispherical field of regard with minimal limitations on the direction of the optical link. An integrated inertial navigation system ensures self-sufficient operation without the need for positioning data of the host vehicle.
