Advanced course work in Ballet and Modern technique, choreography, and other performance aspects comprise this emphasis which when added to the core makes this a 46-hour program.

DANCE MINOR

The dance minor is designed to enhance one’s understanding of both the theoretical and physical aspects of dance. It is comprised of 18 credit hours: eight credits are taken in various genres of dance technique. The theory component (9 credits) includes a required course in dance history as well as two elective theory-based courses chosen to support the student’s major and/or interests. A 1-credit practicum in production completes the dance minor.
