A bit more about the summit

The 2022 Illinois Dairy Summit was hosted virtually on Feb. 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The event was recorded live from Zoom and is now available for your viewing on demand. Dr. Mike Hutjens, Dr. Phil Cardoso, and Dr. Derek Nolan teamed up with Tasha Bunting and the Illinois Milk Producers Association to coordinate and present this exciting event.

The Summit theme is Opportunities Learned While Managing Dairy Cows during COVID. This year’s event included research presentations as well as a panel of producers who shared the impacts, strategies, and takeaways for Illinois dairy producers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Watch to see the effects COVID-19 has had on the dairy industry and our Illinois dairy farmers. Our members have adjusted their business strategies throughout every uncertainty and looked for new opportunities to ensure the same quality and nutritious dairy products remain available to Illinois consumers.
