• The offense was also first in the conference and among the nation's leaders in third-down conversion percentage (52.3), fourth-down conversion percentage (76.5), and average time of possession per game (33:50)

• Rated a three-star dual-threat quarterback recruit by 247Sports
• Also a two-star recruit as a dual-threat quarterback by Rivals
• A three-year starter at quarterback for Porter Ridge High School under head coach Michael Hertz
• Named the 2017 Southwestern 4A Player of the Year as a junior
• A two-time Southwestern 4A first-team All-Conference selection (20017 and 2018)
• Named All-UCHSF first team in 2018, second team in 2017, and earned honorable mention honors as a sophomore in 2016
• Completed 50 percent of his passes and threw for over 3,863 yards and 34 touchdowns for his high school career
• Also rushed for 3,003 yards and 41 touchdowns for the Pirates
• Led his high school team to a 10-5 overall record and a spot in the 2018 North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) 4A state championship semifinals game his senior season, throwing for 1,337 yards and nine touchdowns while rushing for 1,460 yards and 21 scores
• Recorded six 100-plus rushing yard games as a senior
• Threw for 13 touchdowns and 1,414 yards in 2017 as a junior, while also rushing for 907 yards and 12 touchdowns

• His five rushing touchdowns in the third round of the playoffs versus West Mecklenburg in 2018 is tied for the second-most rushing touchdowns in a single game in Union County High School football history
