Q2 Fundraising Roundup: 30 Dem Challengers Outraise Republican Opponents

At least 16 Dem Challengers End Q2 With More Cash On Hand Than Their Republican Opponents 

As House Democrats push deeper into currently Republican-held territory, Democrats continued to outwork and outclass their Republican opponents, with at least 25 Democratic challengers outraising Republican incumbents or open seat challengers in Q2. Not only that, but at least 15 Democratic challengers ended Q2 with more cash on hand their Republican opponents.

Fundraising Quick Facts: 

  • Democratic challengers across the House battlefield have more than $37 million on hand at the end of Q2 and have raised more than $86 million for the cycle.
  • At least 25 challenger candidates raised over $500,000.
  • Frontline Democrats ended with $125 million on hand
  • Frontline Democrats raised more than $36.7million in Q2 and have raised $161 million for the cycle.
  • As of June, the DCCC held a $31 million cash advantage over the NRCC. While the NRCC has not yet released their Q2 fundraising, the DCCC announced yesterday its best Q2 ever with $40M raised.
