GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KFQX) — With multiple eyes on Mesa County elections and on the state as a whole, Secretary of State, Jena Griswold paid the Western Slope a visit to set the record straight.

Griswold says, her job as the Secretary of State is to reach across political party lines, to make sure Republicans, Democrats, and Independents all have access to making their voices heard in a fair and free election.

With multiple investigations into election equipment security in Mesa County, voters confidence may be lost.

Secretary Griswold wants Colorado to keep the title of gold standard elections and bring that same standard back to Mesa County, “That’s what I bring to the table every single day, whether it was in laws making sure there was access on public universities, to the state wide ballot tracking, to the grants we give out,” Griswold said.

Secretary Griswold hopes she can guarantee safe and secure elections in our state, while she runs for re-election in 2022.
