VIRGINIA BEACH – Today, with public release of fundraising numbers for the 2nd quarter, small business owner and former Navy Commander Elaine Luria outraised Congressman Scott Taylor by more than $200k. Elaine raised $945k to Taylor’s $741k from April to June.
Elaine’s campaign is fueled by grassroots support with an average donation this quarter of $15 and 99% of the donations received being $100 or less. Elaine pledged to reject corporate PAC contributions and is committed to living her value of reforming campaign finance laws. In contrast, Congressman Taylor’s campaign has taken over $740k from corporate PACs and special interests, including the NRA and the Koch Brothers.
