When it was time to sell my newly built house in Mossman, Qld late last year I knew it was going to be difficult enough considering the current state of the economy and the huge downturn in the housing market we were all facing within Australia and World Wide. This , together with the fact that I was permanently living interstate, I was extremely concerned with who I could entrust to perform the very important task of selling my house. Before we sold our property we saw several local agents and had an impression that David had great recent achievement. We are happy we made the right decision to choose him. He was really professional and quick in every aspect.

We had been following real estate in Port Douglas for about eighteen months and were actively looking for a house or apartment to buy - one that could be holiday let to start with and then lived in permanently once retired. We thought that we had found (on the internet) what we were looking for and made contact with David Cotton at R&H. Not only did David respond honestly and in a timely manner to all of our queries, he also provided us information on a raft of similar properties to enable us to make a considered decision once we got to Port Douglas. In addition, he even arranged for us to stay in the house that we had been looking at to buy. As it turned out the house was lovely, but it did not tick all of our boxes and so having decided not to proceed, David in the full knowledge of this decision then spent a considerable amount of his time talking us through every property that was for sale in Port notwithstanding that this mostly involved properties being handled by other agents – some of whom we had already made contact with. On the same trip we ended up buying something else from another agent. This did not seem to bother David at all. He congratulated us, wished us well and continued to act towards us in the same even handed and cordial manner that he had displayed from our very first dealings.
